Welcome
Beaverton Adventist Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.

What To Expect
A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We begin with announcements to make sure everyone is caught up on the latest and then we begin our worship with an opening song. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship teams. Since we encourage our little children to worship with us in the sanctuary, we provide a moment for the children to come forward and hear a story crafted just for their interest and short attention. Then we hear a word from God brought to us by one of our pastors. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and small group Bible study. We also offer wonderful children's programing at this time!
On the 2nd Sabbath of the month we all bring a dish to share (called Potluck style) and we all eat together in our big hall (we call it our fellowship hall) where you can get to know others better over a plate of yummy food!

Why Meet on Saturdays?
We get asked this a lot. And it's a great question. In a world where most people worship on Sundays, why do we choose Saturdays? Well, it is quite simple. Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. There was a beautiful garden called Eden, and God met with His creation- Adam and Eve face to face. And after He had finished His creation, He rested on the 7th day (Saturday which we refer to as Sabbath) and made it Holy.
This day was made for humankind.
Before sin entered the world.
Before the plan of redemption.
Before Noah, Abraham, or Moses, there was the Sabbath.

What does Adventist even mean?
What does Adventist refer to? In short it means we are anxiously and excitedly waiting for the soon return of Jesus. This is referred to as the 2nd Advent (you've heard of the 1st Advent right? Most people refer to it as Christmas). But our name only lists a few things that we believe. Would you like to know more about our beliefs?
