Church Heating System

While a new heating system may not be the most exciting church project, it is an important investment in our shared experience on Sabbath mornings. Over the past several years, our church’s heating system has increasingly struggled to keep up. Last winter, we were operating without one of our boilers, another was struggling, and parts needed for repairs are now obsolete. The system is more than 25 years old and was not originally designed as a commercial-grade system, so after considerable research and deliberation, the Finance Committee , Facility Maintenance Team, and Church Board determined that replacement is the best long-term solution.

Beginning September 21, a new commercial-quality boiler heating system will be installed, with the project expected to be completed within approximately one month. This will provide dependable heat during the cold months and, we pray, serve our church family well for many years to come. The total cost is just over $200,000, which is a significant investment for our church. We praise God that our Finance Committee and Church Board have been able to position the church to undertake this project, although it will substantially reduce our financial reserves.

If you feel that you can help offset this major expense and help us maintain stronger reserves we invite you to consider making a contribution to the “Building & Improvements” fund. This fund is available on the paper offering envelopes in the pews and through the Adventist Giving app. Thank you for prayerfully considering how you might help, and thank you for your continued generosity and support of our church family.
